Roaring Fork Young Professionals and Glenwood Springs Sunset Rotary are hosting a Student Career Fair at the Glenwood Springs High School Gymnasium, Wednesday April 15th, 12pm – 5pm.
Our goal is create an open forum for students to learn about potential careers, as well as to provide opportunities for students to seek employment.
We are looking for:
1. Advisers (local professionals)
Help educate our local youth on different career path options and on how to get where they aspire to be. This will give students the chance to talk to a person who is currently working in a profession that the students are interested in pursuing. Students will be able to ask questions from industry professionals about what it takes, how much schooling is involved, where to get started, as well as to discuss what the actual job is like. Take an afternoon off from your daily grind, to help educate and inspire our local youth.
2. Recruiters (business owners, employers, HR, etc)
Recruit students for open job positions at your company/organization. These positions can range from full time permanent employment, seasonal temporary jobs, to internships. This is a great opportunity for employers to find additional help for the summer, or to find a young go-getter looking to get a jump start on their career after graduating high school. Find local recruits who can potentially be an integral part of the future vitality of your company/organization
All 900 Glenwood Springs High School students will be attending 12pm-5pm, as well as Aspen High School, Roaring Fork High School, Basalt High School, and Yampah Mountain High School students from 2pm – 5pm.
