Statewide funding proposals, regional growth trends, alternative fuels on agenda
Mobility, Fuels and Funding, a one-day forum on regional and Colorado transportation needs, trends and opportunities, is set for Friday, Feb. 5, in Glenwood Springs.
The forum starts with a keynote by Shailen Bhatt, executive director of the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Transportation demographics expert Jim Charlier follows with a fresh update on what changing travel patterns, population growth, economic and environmental trends mean for the future of transportation in the Parachute to Aspen region.
Four panel discussions round out the agenda, with community and business leaders discussing how the Grand Avenue Bridge project can create opportunities, statewide and regional transportation funding proposals, mobility options in the Parachute to Aspen region, and alternative fuels for cars, trucks and buses.
The Mobility Forum will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs.
Registration is $35 in advance, and includes morning refreshments and lunch.
