On Tuesday, Representative Dan Thurlow and Senator Larry Crowder introduced HB17-1187, "concerning a change to the growth factor in the excess state of revenues cap". The bill would modify the excess state revenue cap by allowing an annual adjustment for an increase based on the average annual change of personal income, within the past five years, instead of being adjusted based on inflation and population. In doing so, the State may be able to raise revenue without raising taxes. The bill has been assigned to the House Finance Committee. To read the bill in its entirety, click here.

GlenX partners want to bring a co-working space to Glenwood Springs.
Co-working is not just shared office space. It is a flexible workspace where workers can work independently or together. Collectively, it is a community of businesses, individuals, and nonprofits that will work, innovate and collaborate.
In the near future, GlenX partners will be presenting City Council with a proposal to convert the old library space downtown into a thriving community space designated for co-working. Before they do that, they want your ideas, feedback and hopefully support!
Learn more on Wednesday, February 15 at a casual information session at Colorado Mountain College's Glenwood Center (Room 110). Learn what co-workingis and how it could benefit our community. GlenX also wants to hear your thoughts on how to improve their proposal.
Light refreshments will be provided at 6:00 p.m. with an informal program beginning at 6 p.m.
