Health Care
Small town living doesn't have to mean country doctors and limited facilities. But because we are a small town, our health care providers are on a first name basis with most of their patients.

Valley View Hospital
Valley View Hospital, the recent recipient of the JD Power Award for patient services and named one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation, effectively combines high tech with high touch.
The hospital recently underwent a 160,000 square foot addition which houses a new family birthplace, radiology unit and complete cardio care unit. Valley View looks more like a ski lodge than a medical center, with a roaring stone fireplace, wi-fi access and a Starbuck's coffee shop in a lobby furnished with comfortable leather sofas and a mountain casual motif. It combines the healing aspects of both a spa and a hospital with amenities like family rooms with kitchens, massage therapy and 24-hour "room service," this 80-bed facility has top-trained physicians and the latest technology, making it a renowned regional medical center caring for patients from Vail to Aspen to western Garfield County.
Roaring Fork Community Health Plan
The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan is a community-oriented, not-for-profit corporation that promotes competitively priced, accessible, high-quality health coverage to members of rural communities in Western Colorado. The Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan has been in existence since 1996 and promotes local collaboration between health-care stakeholders: Employers, providers and insurance companies. While many are looking at national health care, the Roaring Fork Valley Community Health Plan believes that health care can best be promoted and managed locally.
