Ambassadors are the "public relations arm" of the chamber and easily recognized in their red jackets. They promote chamber programs, conduct ribbon-cutting ceremonies, help host special events and Business After Hours mixers and host the Ambassador’s Corner on Cable Channel 10.
An ad hoc committee of the chamber, has been in existence for over two decades. This concerned group of citizens and business owners has crafted and passed tax initiatives to build a community center and City Hall, a new raw water treatment plant, the local Ride Glenwood bus system, create the tourism promotion fund and allow for infrastructure and amenities like street lamps, bike trails, street maintenance and downtown beautification.
Business representatives, Pinnacol insurance providers and Pinnacol Assurance representatives meet quarterly to examine the Glenwood chamber safety groups’ workplace accidents, to plan seminars and develop methods to encourage loss prevention.
