The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association is among the
first chambers of commerce in Colorado to
partner with Citslinc International to sponsor a Mission
to China.
The nine day trip is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25 through Monday, Nov. 2,
2009. This is a rare opportunity to visit Beijing,
Suxhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai at a very attractive rate, and it is
open to the general public.
The all-inclusive price of $1,799 per person for chamber
members and $1,899 per person for non-members includes round-trip international
airfare from Los Angeles (LAX), four and five star hotel stays throughout the
trip, three full meals every day, deluxe tour busses, an English speaking tour
guide, admission tickets to tourist attractions and all airport taxes and
transfers. Itinerary details will be discussed at an Orientation Meeting in
Glenwood Springs on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Roosevelt Room in
the Hotel Colorado.

Trip Overview
The adventure begins in Beijing,
the capital of China, and
includes a visit to Tian An Men Square and the Temple of Heaven,
built in 1420 A.D. Sightseeing travel is provided on comfortable
excursion busses with an English-speaking guide and includes trips to the PalaceMuseum,
the SummerPalace,
KunmingLake
and Longevity Hill, Seventeen-ArchBridge and Marble Boat.
There is also a tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the
4,000-mile long and 2,000 year old construction, and Ming Tombs, where one of
13 Ming Emperor’s Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration.
Halfway through the trip, participants fly to Shanghai and then take a tour bus trip to Suzhou
to see the LingeringGarden, Tiger Hill, HanshanTemple
and enjoy an evening dinner show of traditional Chinese music.
Other highlights include an optional Business Partners’
Dinner/Conference; the LingyinTemple, featuring a camphor-wood carved Buddha
standing at 64.3 feet tall; a boat cruise on WestLake; visits to jewel-like pagodas and
tea houses, and Yu Garden, which is a maze of pavilions, ponds and over-arching
trees; and the BundWaterfallPark.
Several optional additional tours are available at minimal fees.
