Arts and Culture

  • Downtown Market
Fresh produce isn’t the only thing to look forward to at the Glenwood Springs Tuesday evening market. Arts, crafts, food, music and sidewalk sales at local shops in the heart of the downtown historic district are also popular components of this weekly event, which takes place from June through September.
  • Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts
There is always some form of artistic expression available for your pleasure at the Glenwood Springs Center for the Arts. Events span the artistic spectrum from quality art shows, informal coffee houses and poetry readings, to community concerts, dance performances and much more. In addition to being a home for accomplished artists, the Center is also a nourishing starting point for those beginning their creative journey. A variety of classes, seminars and workshops are always available.
  • Glenwood’s Public Art Project
Unveiled in May, 2008. Seven sculpture artists from around the country are displaying their work for one year around town.  Funded by the City of Glenwood Springs and a joint project of the Glenwood Springs Chamber & Center for the Arts.

Community Theatre and Concerts

The community orchestras composed of more than 57 musicians ranging in age from 15 to 85 who travel from as far away as Vail and Rangely for the opportunity to make music for appreciative audiences. The Symphony plays three to four concerts throughout the year in various valley-wide locations. Contact Wendy Larson at (970) 920-4314, for more information.
