All ongoing committees, projects, programs, activities and publications are organized around the chamber's goals and objectives.  Progress is reported in the current Annual Report.

To carry out its mission, the chamber focuses on five core competencies:

A national study by The Schapiro Group reveals that 63% of consumers are more likely to buy from chamber members.

The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association Tourism Marketing efforts include:

  • Stewardship of the Tourism Promotion Fund, which marketed to bring $33 million* in lodging revenues to the city (a 22% increase over 2006) and $108.5 million* in related tourism expenditures, including dining, shopping and at activities in Glenwood Springs
  • $120,000 new and incremental tourism business booked— including lodging and activities, generated through Central Reservations Glenwood Springs from its launch June 1st through November, 2006
  • 142% increase in vacation planner requests over 2006 through October, 2006
  • 41,250 visitors to the chamber visitor information center through October, 2006

Glenwood chamber as an industry leader: The CEO of the Glenwood chamber is the chair of US Chamber’s West Institute of Organization Management and sits on the board of Western Association of Chamber Executives, American Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Colorado Film Commission.
